Centauri crushes Monte Vista, secures playoff berth

MONTE VISTA — The Centauri High School football team entered Friday’s game at Monte Vista ranked second in the CHSAA Class 1A poll and first in the CHSAA rating percentage index (RPI). The Falcons remained perfect on the season and secured a berth in the Class 1A state playoffs with a 55-8 win over the Pirates, thus winning the Southern Peaks League.

Monte Vista boys golf team fourth at Regional

MONTE VISTA — In a Regional Golf Tournament in Alamosa on Sept. 21, the Monte Vista boys golf team took fourth place and two players qualified to go on to the State Tournaments, Colton and Kaden Mellott will move on to the State Tournaments that are being held on Oct. 4 and 5 in Gunnison.
