Win the 23rd Crane Festival quilt

MONTE VISTA - Win the 23rd Crane Quilt. Members of the Kiwanis Club of Monte Vista are again sponsoring their Annual Crane Quilt Raffle. Proceeds from the raffle primarily fund the Monte Vista Key Club Scholarship Program with remaining funds used for community service projects. The 2020 Crane Quilt, “Time to Take Flight” was designed, pieced and quilted by Raydene Plane. The center of the quilt is graced by a hand painted sandhill crane. The winner of the 2019 Crane Quilt was Charlotte Thompson from Dolores, Colorado. Tickets are on sale with one ticket for $2.00 or three tickets for $5.00. The drawing will be held during the Crane Festival March 8, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Ski Hi Park in Monte Vista, Colorado. The winner does not need to be present to win. Tickets are available from Kiwanis members at the following locations: Rio Grande Savings and Loan-Monte Vista; Joseph A. Lucero DDS; Tri County Senior Citizens; Kay’s Bookkeeping Services;  Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce; and Kiwanians Wayne Wittner, Colette Skeff, Debbie Palmgren, Karen Widger, Michael and Linda Couch, and Janet and Don Noland, Tickets will also be available at Ski Hi Park during the festival. A Key Club Scholarship for $1000 was awarded to Alyssa Rawinski, Monte Vista High School Key Club Member in May 2019.
