William was a deep lover of anything musical and his numerous CDs show that he loved them all- from rock to jazz to country and probably in that order.

Everyone who met William immediately knew he knew no stranger and you immediately

became an extension of his family. He enjoyed conversing on Facebook as well as land lines— he didn't care; he would call just to say "Hi."

William is preceded in death by his parents Herbert H. Smith and Mabel Smith of Monte Vista.

His memories will live through his family and extended family in Round Rock: David Thompson (of over 30 years) and Juan Muro, sisters Rochelle Eriksen (Naudack) of South Fork and Renee Lindke (Naudack) of South Fork; nieces: Andrea Smith (Eriksen), Los Angeles, Calif. and Nikki Eriksen, Massuchesetts; cousins: Eddy Knittle, Reno, Nev.; Richard Knittle, Reno, Nev., Janet Gambina, Oregon; Carol Hanson, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Connie White, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Joni Brandt, Hawaii; Steven Stoeber, Arizona; Shirley Campbell (Stoeber) of Arizona Ruthie Schwartz, South Dakota and friends he was in constant touch with too numerous to list.

His positive attitude on everything and his infectious laugh will be missed. A "Celebration of Life" will be scheduled in Round Rock, Texas at a favorite bar-b-que place.
