Wilbur-Ellis donated $1,500 to the Monte Vista Fire Department towards equipment the fire department is trying to buy. The department would like to be able to purchase a battery-operated jaws of life, a thermal cam and individual SCBA mask. Branch Manager Dale Becker presented the check on Monday night to the fire district board and the local firefighters. The Monte Vista Fire Department will hold its annual chili supper on Saturday, Nov. 11 beginning at 4 p.m. Donations from the dinner will also be used towards equipment purchase. ​
