Voris retires after 28 years

RIO GRANDE COUNTY- Rio Grande County said goodbye to long time employee Carol Voris who has worked for the treasurer’s department for 28 years last week.
Voris is only one of many county employees that have worked for the county for over 20 years and she will be dearly missed. Voris was born and raised in the Del Norte community and she plans to spend her retirement with her two adult children and seven grandchildren.
When asked about a memorable moment during her 28 years of service for the county, Voris spoke about the West Fork Complex Fire and how it was interesting to watch the communities come together and work as a team to survive and rebuild.
Voris also spoke highly of the family-like environment she worked in while with the county and how much she enjoyed working with the public. Voris plans to spend some time traveling after the COVID situation settles down and spend her days with grandchildren and her husband.
