DEL NORTE— Weather permitting, the Lookout Mountain Observatory Association will host a public star party on Friday, Oct. 5, 7 p.m. at the Del Norte Observatory. Featured viewing will be the planets and deep sky objects. Star party attendees should park and sign-in at the Rio Grande County Courthouse Annex at 6th and Penasco streets. Also, bring a flashlight to better and more safely follow the rocky trail from the annex to the observatory. For more information, call 657-1150.
