The first rodeo in the Spring in the Valley Rodeo Series was this Sunday afternoon at Ski-Hi. Following the Jason McClain Bull Riding School last week, competitors of all ages participated in the Burris and Sons Bucking Bulls events, including Open Bull Riding, Novice Bull Riding, Junior Bull Riding, Steer Riding, Calf Riding, Mutton Busting, Open Team Roping, Junior Barrel Racing and Open Barrel Racing.  Left:Cade Chapman won the Junior Bull Riding with a score of 69 points. Chapman was the first to defeat the Burris and Sons Bucking Bulls on Sunday afternoon, after all the athletes in Novice Bull Riding and Open Bull Riding were unsuccessful. Chapman also won the Calf Chase, although that was ultimately decided by rock-paper-scissors.
