MONTE VISTA—Sargent School District has successfully chosen three finalists from 10 applicants for the superintendent position. They hope to secure the position by May 13 with a July 1, 2017 starting date.
The board, using screening criteria established through on-line focus group surveys conducted with staff and community members, selected the following candidates as finalists to be interviewed on May 13:
Jacquelynn Crabtree, PK-12 principal, Cotopaxi Consolidated Schools, Cotopaxi, Colo.
Tom Meyer, superintendent Bellevue Community School District, Bellevue, Iowa
Greg Slover, jr. high/high school principal, Tatum Municipal Schools, Tatum, N.M.
The interviews will include staff and community member interview committees in addition to the board, as well as provide the candidates and opportunity to visit schools.
