Santi retiring, Lucero acquires practice

MONTE VISTA—Dr. Joseph Lucero D.D.S. has acquired the dental practice of Dr. Richard Santi D.D.S. located in Monte Vista.
Lucero, like Dr. Santi achieved his D.D.S. from the prestigious Creighton University School of Dentistry. He finished at Creighton in 2014 and then continued at the University of Minnesota where he received a certificate in the specialty of Prosthodontics and is pursuing a Masters of Dental Science.
Prosthodontics is a specialty that requires an additional three years of intense clinical training after dental school. Prosthodontics is also the only specialty accredited to place and restore dental implants. Lucero is able to offer his patients advanced prosthetic dental treatment along with traditional dental care. He is capable of providing full mouth reconstruction, surgical and prosthetic implant therapy, advanced prosthetic solutions for the completely edentulous patient, and sedation dentistry.
As a prosthodontist, Lucero brings a variety of advanced techniques and procedures to the San Luis Valley. This will enable patients to not have to leave the San Luis Valley for specialty care. The advanced specialty training has also allowed Dr. Lucero to advance his general dentistry skills.
After 41 years as a general dentist Dr. Santi will transition to part-time as he begins his retirement. Santi’s staff, Teri Sanchez (office manager), Carly Lozoya (master dental hygienist), Debbie Dilley (dental assistant) and Hiedi Heredia (dental assistant) will also remain at the practice.
Santi wishes to sincerely thank all of his patients for the many years of dedication. He knows his patients will have exceptional care and many more options for their dental health with Dr. Joseph Lucero, D.D.S.
