MONTE VISTA— The Rio Grande Savings & Loan Association board of directors has announced
the promotion of Kate Ruybal to vice president/chief compliance officer and member of the
Rio Grande Corporate Leadership Team. She also serves as Rio Grande’s bank secrecy act officer and hr business partner.
With a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Sciences from Georgia State University, Ruybal joined Rio Grande in 2016. She also has a PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute, and expects to graduate this summer from Colorado State University with a master’s in Human Resources.
After college, Ruybal moved to Alamosa to spend time with her mother, and met her husband, Tony, with whom she will celebrate their seventh anniversary this year. In 2014, they welcomed their daughter, Olivia, to their family.
“My favorite part of my job is working with the staff at Rio Grande Savings. I love to navigate issues with them, and work together to find innovative solutions,” Ruybal said. “I am humbled to have been promoted to the corporate leadership team of Rio Grande Savings and I am looking forward to the challenges of my new position.”
Founded in Monte Vista in 1905, Rio Grande Savings and Loan Association serves the mortgage and other financial needs of its customers with three offices in Southern Colorado, including Monte Vista, Alamosa, and Pagosa Springs.
