MONTE VISTA— Denver resident, Richard Naranjo, 63 passed away Sept. 25, 2017 in Denver. Richard was born on March 12, 1954 in Monte Vista to Horacio and Beneranda Naranjo.
Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, his mother, children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed dancing, sports and cooking. He loved his soul mate, Debbie and the Broncos.
Richard is survived by his mother Benny Naranjo of Monte Vista; his lifetime soul mate Debbie Escamilla of Monte Vista; his children Yvonne Medina (Rick Bates, Lynndie Escamilla (Lauren Lopez), Richard Escamilla, Reyna Valdez (Dax), all of Denver; six grandkids; siblings, Maryann (Rudy) Herrera of Colorado Springs, Rosemary (Lorenzo) Morales of Fort Collins, Lorraine Monge of Monte Vista, Bernice (Henry) Jiron of Monte Vista, Arnold Naranjo of Monte Vista, Berlinda Naranjo of Denver, Teresa Flores of Monte Vista, Teddy Naranjo of Denver, Brenda Naranjo of Monte Vista and Horace Naranjo of Monte Vista. Richard is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Horacio Naranjo, siblings Manuel Cedric Naranjo, Cedric Naranjo, Leroy Naranjo, Ramon Naranjo, Eddie Naranjo, Teddy Naranjo, Allen Naranjo, Larry Naranjo, Maureen Naranjo and Terrance Naranjo.
Rosary will be Friday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m., and the funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Oct. 7. Both services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista.
