RIO GRANDE COUNTY - The petition that is circulating to recall Commissioner Chairman John Nofsker is nearing the deadline of Wednesday, August 12, in order to be on the November ballot. Recall petition committee member Mona Syring stated that several constituents are circulating the petition but that the number of signatures is unknown at this time though the committee is optimistic about the deadline.
