Congratulations to the Monte Vista Pirates basketball team for placing third this past weekend at the Hoop Dreams Nation Tournament in Pueblo. Alicia Rios from Center Vikings joined the Monte Vista traveling team for the tournament. This summer they have won a championship at the Bayfield tournament and an Adams State University tournament. Coaches are Dwayne Marquez and Steve Lopez.
