MONTE VISTA— Perry Roy Harlan passed away June 23, 2017. He was born outside Creede on Oct. 10, 1957.
He lived in the San Luis Valley until 1981 when he moved to California. In 1985 he married Mary and became a stepdad to Richard Coberly. He and Mary had one son, Derrick.
Perry worked for Culligan Commercial Water Systems and Raypak Boiler Service as a setup and systems inspector.
He was loved by everyone who met him. Perry helped people with jobs they couldn’t do for themselves. What a wonderful personality and laugh he had. Perry enjoyed golfing, playing darts, reading, his dogs and gambling trips.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Lamar and Katherine Belle Harland and sister Shana Harlan.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. and sons Richard and Derrick; brothers Stan (Dottie) Harlan, Kent (Melissa) Harlan, Keith Harlan and sister Shannon (Curt) Jackson; aunts Glenda (Jack) Nelson and Marcie Pennington and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and one great nephew.
Perry will be completing the circle of life with his family.
