The new digital Ski-Hi Marquee sign is officially up and running. City of Monte Vista Recreation Director Jaime Hurtado came up with the idea and solicited sponsorships from local businesses and events, recognized for their donations under the marquee. The sign was installed by staff from the City of Monte Vista Public Works Department. Donors include the Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce, Ski-Hi Stampede, the Southern Rocky Mountain Agriculture Conference, the Monte Vista Crane Festival, Absolute Shine Autobody, Mathias Concrete, Calvary Baptist Church, the Monte Vista Rotary and the Monte Vista Kiwanis.
