The Monte Vista Middle School eighth grade girls’ basketball team has won back-to-back beginning of the year championships. This past weekend the team traveled to Sierra Grande for the tournament. Their path consisted of defeating Center in the first round, Antonito in the semi-finals and defeating a very good Sanford team in the finals. Great job eighth grade Lady Pirates on back-to-back championships.
