MV Workforce Center presents job fair on Sept. 26

MONTE VISTA— MONTE VISTA— The Monte Vista Workforce Center will host a hiring event on Sept. 26 as part of Workforce Development Month.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Monte Vista Kids Connection, 134 Washington Street in Monte Vista. Representatives from local businesses will be at the event with full-time and part-time positions to be filled. For job seekers, the hiring event provides an opportunity to meet with recruiters face-to-face and learn about a variety of companies and the positions they have open for hire.
Having an account with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s job bank, Connecting Colorado (www.connectingcolorado.com) is helpful but is not required. Job seekers can learn more by contacting the Monte Vista Workforce Center at 852-5171.
This job fair is one of many events that are taking place across the state in September. Workforce Centers are partnering with the Department of Labor and Employment to spotlight services and resources available to the state’s labor force and the Colorado businesses that hire them. The events are part of Workforce Development Month.
It began modestly in 2004 with a handful of events.
