Local ceremony is Dec. 18 at Homelake Veterans Cemetery

MONTE VISTA — Monte Vista Rotary Club President Gene Farish presented Pam Self, Wreaths Across America Coordinator, with a check for $500 at the Tuesday, Dec. 14, holiday luncheon. Self announced that they have enough wreaths this year to place one on each soldiers’ headstone at Homelake Veterans Cemetery and for deceased veterans in Saguache County. The ceremony will take place Saturday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. at Homelake in Monte Vista and placing the wreaths will follow. The public is encouraged to attend.
