MV Chamber Holiday Bazaar kicks off holiday festivities Dec. 1-2

MONTE VISTA — The Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce Holiday Bazaar will kick off the holiday festivities in Monte Vista on Dec. 1 and 2 at the Outcalt Event and Conference at SLV Ski Hi Complex.
This magical event is a perfect opportunity to start your holiday shopping. Local artisans, craftsmen, and businesses will offer their products and services at the bazaar. The Holiday Bazaar will be open to the public from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, and from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce will have a Christmas Raffle at the Holiday Bazaar — “You don’t want to miss these prizes!” Raffle tickets are $3 each or $10 for four tickets.
If you are naughty or nice, come out to the Holiday Bazaar to see Santa and The Grinch at Whoville!
Professional photography packages with Santa and The Grinch will be available for purchase for children, families, and pets. You can make photo reservations by scanning the QR code or by contacting Kim Marquez Photography at 719-992-8288. Photo sessions will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, and Pet Photos from 3-4 p.m., and from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Bundle up for the Christmas Carriage Rides at the Holiday Bazaar, only available from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. Listen to the sleigh bells as you take a ride around the arena at Ski Hi Park in a horse-drawn covered carriage. The cost is $7 each for children and $10 for adults. Cash only.
Following the Holiday Bazaar, join Santa and The Grinch on the Colorado Pacific Rio Grande Railroad Christmas Train from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Fullenwider Park. Operation Lifesaver Coloring Books will be given to all children who come to see the Christmas Train! Community tree lighting and Christmas carols will begin at 5:15 p.m. at Fullenwider Park. Parade of Lights to follow at 6 p.m. in Downtown Monte Vista.
