MV Carnegie Corner: April is National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month; and D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) Month. Children’s book day was April 2, National School Librarian Day was April 5, and April 12 is D.E.A.R! So just do it! Come into the library and get a book to read. We have some new ones to discover.

New books — “The Bounty V07” by Janet Evanovich and Steve Hamilton, “Eternal” by Lisa Scott, “The Other Emily” by Dean Koontz, “Stranger in a Strange Land” by Robert A. Heinlein, “Double Jeopardy” by Stuart Wood, “Milagro Beanfield War” by John Nichols, “The Paris Library” by Janet Skeslien Charles, “The Red Book” by James Patterson, “Back with a Vengeance” by R.W. Stone, “High Desert” by Wane D. Overholser, “The Phantom Rider” by Leslie Scott, and “The Slick – Iron Trail” by Bradford Scott.

Don’t forget about Libby. It is our online system for accessing books to read. Contact us for more information on how to get set up with this system. We have a new web page, www.carnegiepubliclibraries.colorado.gov.

We have a nice periodical section, come and check it out. If you do not know, we carry the Epoch Times newspaper along with the Valley Courier and Monte Vista Journal.
