SAN LUIS VALLEY— Once again, The Brother’s Keeper Motorcycle Club (BKMC) Chapter 19, of the SLV will be holding a rally on June 8, at Ski Hi Park in Monte Vista.  This will be a full day event with many activities. Emphasis on fund raising will be to benefit the Veterans Coalition of the SLV.
The motorcycle club would like to ask for monetary support from SLV residents, keeping in mind that all funding in excess of expenses will go to the San Luis Valley Veterans Coalition.  The club hopes not only to secure major sponsors, but support from riders and the community by receiving funds from events, sales, and donations at the rally.
BKMC is made up of active or retired firefighters in the San Luis Valley region. As a 501(c)(3) NPO and members of the national BKMC Organization, one of the functions of clubs is to find a worthy community program for a fund-raising project. BKMC’s San Luis Valley Chapter has approved the association of working with the Veterans Coalition of the San Luis Valley, a SLV organization helping Valley veterans.
SLV Brother’s Keepers worked with the Veterans Coalition in 2018, by holding the Thunder in the Valley motorcycle rally in Monte Vista, which raised funds to help veterans. It was an honor to present the coalition with a check following the 2018 rally. Funds raised provided the coalition with financial support for veterans to travel outside the Valley for medical appointments.
Thank you in advance to all supporters of the Valley’s firefighters, and since the cause is one BKMC is grateful for, all veterans, please consider this request.
