MONTE VISTA— Due to several citizen requests and the higher than normal water levels, the Monte Vista Public Works Department will increase mosquito control measures to twice per week beginning June 18.
The department will spray on both Tuesday and Thursday each week until conditions improve.  Spraying operations will begin at approximately 8 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday and last until 1 a.m. the following day— weather permitting. Residents should limit outside activities and close windows during spray operations.
For the Fourth of July holiday public works will spray only on Tuesday of that week.
