Monte Vista Police Report, June 5, 2019


May 19
Officers were advised of a possible disturbance in the 400 block of Dennis Street. Upon arrival, officers were advised a silver or grey sedan parked in the area for several minutes before an unidentified male exited and approached a parked pickup with an occupied camper. The vehicle left after the occupants of the camper shined a flashlight through the window.
Leobardo Ortega Anaya, 23, Center, was arrested on a Saguache warrant and charged with Drug Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Monte Vista police officers assisted RGSO for a contact with a suspicious party.
Jerry Strook, 34, Tulsa, Okla., was issued a citation for “Drove Vehicle without a Valid Driver’s License,” “Vehicle had Defective Stop Lamp,” and “Driver Operated Uninsured Motor Vehicle” on the 800 block of Grand Ave.

May 20
Jason Couse, 43, Virginia Beach, was issued a summons for compulsory insurance and taken into custody without incident for a warrant out of RGSO in the area of N. Broadway Street and Acequia Drive.
MVPD took a call of potential harassment at the 900 block of 4th Ave.
MVPD received a call for a trespass at Love’s Country Store. Report taken. Unfounded.
MVPD took a report of a cold burglary from the 300 block of Adams St.
A male juvenile was arrested for a warrant out of Monte Vista PD in the 200 block of Prospect Ave.
Abandoned vehicle 1977 motor home towed from Grande and Alameda Ave. parked on private property towed.

May 21
Ronnie Pacheco, 31, Monte Vista was arrested on a warrant out of Rio Grande County, in the 10 block of 1st Avenue.

May 22
K Arroyo is sought for DV 705 Morton St.
Hilary Chavez, 32, Monte Vista was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant in the 200 block of East Prospect.
Officers responded to the 700 block of South Broadway for a theft.
Juan Acosta, 29, Monte Vista, was arrested for multiple warrants out of the Rio Grande County Sheriff’s Office and additional charges were filed in the 400 block of Franklin Street, following a barricade situation.

May 23
Officers responded to the 700 Block of Clay Street, for a report of a burglary.
Glen Medina, 48, Monte Vista, was contacted by officers of the Monte Vista Police Department for shoplifting. He was issued a summons and released.
Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 10 block of Davis Street.

May 24
Officers received a DSS referral regarding a child abuse.
Michael DeHerrera, 25, Monte Vista was issued a summons for DUR O J, and failure to present insurance upon request, in the 400 block of 2nd Avenue.
Suspicious person called in and said to be yelling at herself. Alma Hernandez (31) found to be under the influence of drugs and in possession of drug paraphernalia. Hernandez found to have multiple warrants, one out of Kansas.
Michael DeHerrera, 25, Monte Vista was issued a summons for Shoplifting, and Monique Martinez, 28, Monte Vista was arrested on two felony warrants out of RGSO, in the 1200 block of 2nd Avenue.

May 25
Burglary in the 700 block of Jackson Street. Unknown person walked in residence and took TV .
Arthur Cisneros, 45, Monte Vista, was arrested for DUR HTO, Failure to Provide Insurance and Drove Vehicle when Safety Belt no in use, in the 1500 block of 5th A venue.
Report of a criminal mischief in 200 block of Adams.
Nickolas Medina, 39, Monte Vista was issued a summons for Driving under revocation and not wearing a seatbelt.
