Monte Vista Police Report, 04/24

April 2
Officers responded to a single vehicle accident at 6th Avenue and S. Broadway. Adan Acosta, 22, of Monte Vista, was cited for driving under revocation, driving unsafe vehicle and served a proof of service.
MV PD took a report from a male stating he was jumped by two males near Southwest Liquor. No injuries; information report taken.

April 3
Juan Medina, 28, of Monte Vista was taken into custody for a probation violation warrant and taken to RGSO.
Angie Marquez, 79, of Monte Vista was cited for disregarding a stop sign causing an accident.
Theft of glasses from inside the bank - individual on video - identified by staff - charges pending.

April 4
There was a commercial vehicle parked at 1712 Sickles St. cited for ordinance violation.
Officers responded to a verbal argument in the 200 block of Ulysses Boulevard. It was found the male suspect, identified as Gabriel Maldonado,43, of Monte Vista pushed his wife before he left the scene. He has not been contacted at this time.
Officers responded to the 300 Block of Dunham for a criminal mischief.

April 5
Criminal Mischief reported by Kar Wash; an unknown individual attempted to break into a coin box. It was unsuccessful.
Miguel Salazar, 58, of Monte Vista was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Referred to LEAD.
Ramona Madril, 41, of Monte Vista, was arrested on a Municipal Warrant.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Sickles Street in reference to a suspicious male party.

April 6
Alesci, Lawrence, 63, Las Vegas, collided with the fire hydrant located at 1331 Grand Ave. After the collision which damaged the hydrant causing heavy water flow, Alesci fled the scene.
Officers responded to the 2100 block of Grand for a traffic complaint. Melonie Torres, 41, of Monte Vista was cited for improper passing.
Monte Vista Police assisted EMS on the 500 block of Davis St.

April 7
Ms. Sierra Whitaker, 19, of Monte Vista, was arrested on the charges of “Harassment” and “Domestic Violence.”
MVPD took a call of a broken door window on the 1600 block of Grand Ave.
Officers assisted Alamosa Police Department in the location of a juvenile for a welfare check. The juvenile was contacted on the corner of Park Ave. and Jefferson St.
