Monte Vista Police Report, 03/13

Feb. 18
Michael Villalba, 39, Monte Vista, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and False Reporting at 4th Ave. and Jackson St. An additional female was also taken into custody for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and her case was diverted to the LEAD Program.
MVPD took a report of a possible Violation of Protection Order. No Protection Order in place. Information report taken.
MVPD took a report of harassment in the 1300 block of Grand Ave.
MVPD responded to the 1300 block of US Hwy 160 regarding shoplifting. Ms. Angela Gonzales, 28, Monte Vista, was issued a summons for “Theft.” Ms. Monique Gonzales, 26, Monte Vista was issued a summons for “Theft.” The charges of “Burglary” and “Theft” were requested for Ms. Crystal Marquez.
Animal attack on city employee

Feb. 19
Jaquin Lovato, 24, La Jara, was issued summons, displayed expired plates, displayed fictitious plates and operated motor vehicle with out insurance.
MVPD responded to the 400 block of Jackson Street in reference to a domestic. Thomas Valencia, 59, Monte Vista was arrested in reference to the incident.
A search warrant was conducted in the 1300 block of 6th A venue. Arthur Garza, 43, Monte Vista, was arrested.
Possible animal abuse at Bill Metz reported. Report taken.
Feb. 20
Sex offender registration - Ronnie Vigil, 52, of 108 Adams St.
Carlos Tafoya, 39, Monte Vista, was arrested on a felony warrant out of Rio Grande County in the 200 block of Solar Ave.
Paul Cordero, 54, Monte Vista, turned himself in at the Police Department for a protection order violation. Cordero was issued a summons and later transported to Crossroads Turning Point in Alamosa.
Feb. 21
Rocio Javalera, 45, Monte Vista, was issued a summons for Failure to Provide Insurance and fictitious stickers or tabs.
Civil standby with DSS in the 1300 block of 6th Ave.
Roberto Roa-Servin, Commerce City, issued citation for failing to yield the right of way.

Feb. 22
Report of a theft in the 500 block of Madison St. Under investigation.
Officers were advised of a possible fight in progress in the 400 block of Calle Unida. Victor Herrera, 33, Monte Vista was taken into custody for multiple charges.
RGSO requested assistance in apprehending a suspect for an assault in the 800 block of Hwy 285.

Feb. 23
One juvenile male party sited for possession of tobacco at approximately 22:02 in the 1800 block of Grand Ave.
Agency assist in the 2100 block of West Sickles St.
Marcos Villa-Galindo, 29, Monte Vista was issued a summons for DUR Revoked, in the 700 block of 1st Ave.

Feb. 24
MVPD units took a report of a possible trespass from the 500 block of Madison St.
Feb. 25
MV PD responded to a disturbance in progress at the 200 block of Clearview.
MV PD took an incident report from the 500 block of Batterson St.
Cesar Guerra, 26, Monte Vista, was issued a summons for harassment in the 500 block of Madison Street.
A New Mexico Style, Wood Frame twin bed was reported stolen from the 1900 block of Newcomb Ave. Classification is Burglary.
MV PD took a report for a protection order violation. One male was taken to Detox and referred to LEAD.
Ronney Pacheco, 31, and Krista Casebolt, 32, were cited for shoplifting at Top Value.
Report of an at-risk adult who went missing in the Monte Vista area on Feb. 25 at approximately 0900 hours. Investigations revealed James Williams, 72, was not missing and no foul play is suspected.

Feb. 26
Rafael Delgado, 32, Monte Vista, issued summons Driving HTO
MVPD assisted RGSO with a disturbance at the 1100 block of 8th Ave. This is in reference to RGSO case number 19-088
Nicole Archuleta, 31, Alamosa was summonsed for shoplifting at Top Value.
Joshua Herrera, 33, Monte Vista, was transported to Detox after he was found to be intoxicated in a residence in the 500 block of Batterson Street.
