Dec. 17
Criminal Mischief in the 500 block of 2nd Avenue. No suspects.
Michael Samora, 28, reported possible telephone fraud. Caller claimed to be from Social Services and threatened legal action against him for not providing his social security number.
MVPD responded to 1828 Sickles for male under the influence of drugs. Jason Samora was taken to Crossroads Turning Points (Detox).

Dec. 18
David Quintana, 44, Monte Vista, was taken into custody for a Rio Grande County warrant at the 400 block of Calle Unida.
Hector Arredondo, 36, suspected of second degree assault in the alley way of 918 Morton Street on at approximately 12 p.m.
Burglary in the 200 block of Clearview Dr.; various items reported stolen.
Report of a possible harassment which was ongoing from a civil issue reported in the 200 block of Clearview Dr.
Kevin Salazar, 31, Monte Vista, was arrested on a warrant out of Alamosa PD.

Dec. 19
Horacio Naranjo, 50 Monte Vista, was taken to Detox and cited for Injury to Property at the 400 block of Madison St.

Report of a theft that took place in the 200 of Stallo St.

Dec. 21
Report of a theft. Ronney Pacheco, 31, Monte Vista was arrested for a felony warrant.
Donovan Velasquez, 30, of Del Norte was arrested for Drove Vehicle when License Revoked HTO and Failed to Present Evidence of Insurance.

Dec. 22
Agency assist for Huerfano County.
Hilario Aguilar, 19, was arrested on two warrants. He was also issued a summons for False Reporting to Authorities, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Dec. 24
Antonio Hernandez-Leyva, 41 of Monte Vista, was taken into custody for a warrant out of Rio Grande County.
Terri Kimberly Salazar, 35 of Monte Vista, was cited for Shoplifting at Family Dollar.

Dec. 25
Ambulance assist in the 1100 block of Grand Avenue. Female party transported.
Alamosa PD was in a vehicle pursuit west on Hwy 160.

Dec. 26
Nadia Muncy-Paiz, 19, of Manassa and Miranda Quintana, 20, of Manassa were issued a summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kristen Richardson, 20, of La Jara was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Dec. 27
Danielle Espinosa, 34, Alamosa was issued a summons for shoplifting. This took place in the 1300 block of US Hwy. 160 E.
Sex Offender Registration
Michael Hernandez, 31, Monte Vista, was arrested for Driving when License Revoked HTO , in area of the 1 South and Hwy 15.
Officers of the Monte V ista Police Department received a call of a disturbance in progress in the 900 block of Harrison Street. Officers contacted Cedric Naranjo, 18, Monte Vista, and he was issued a summons for Injury to Property Prohibited.
Officers were advised of an assault in the 900 block of Harrison Street. The victim stated two male parties entered his yard and struck him in the head approximately 2-3 times. Felipe Nevarez, 38, Monte Vista, is identified as a suspect, but has not been contacted, and the other party has not been identified at this time.

Dec. 28
Jamal Toledo, 22, Monte Vista, was issued a ticket for obstructed vision and failing to yield right of way when proceeding from stop sign.
Roshanda Toledo, 25, Monte Vista was arrested on a Rio Grande County Warrant.

Dec. 29
One-car traffic crash with property damage in the area of Grand Avenue and Tyndal Street. Driver was issued a citation.
Summer Pilling, 20, Monte Vista, was issued a summons for Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance Upon Request following a crash.
A report of code violation in the 400 block of Lyell Street. Referred to Code Enforcement.
Cesar Salazar, 31, Monte Vista was arrested in the 1000 block of S. Broadway for a felony warrant out of RGSO without incident.

Dec. 30
MV PD responded to a non-criminal family disturbance. Report taken for information purposes.
Roy Renner, 49, Brighton, was taken into custody on a Rio Grande County Warrant and cited for “Improper Use of Turn Signal” and “Driving Under Restraint - Default Judgement.”
