Jan. 29

Report of vandalism on the 900 block of 3rd Avenue. Vehicle egged.

There was a report of a child being struck by an adult at Monte Vista High School.

Report of 1st degree criminal trespass in a vehicle on the 500 block of Batterson Street. Suspect identified as Juan Meza, 27, Monte Vista, warrant pending.

 

Jan. 30

A threat to shoot up the high school was received. Report filed.

Isaiah Espinoza, 30, Monte Vista, and Blas Villa, 34, Monte Vista were both cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A vehicle was contacted on the 600 block of Monroe Street when it was observed stopped in the middle of the road with two people beside it. It was also observed the vehicle had extensive window tinting. Tobias Duran, 31, Center, was cited for not wearing a seatbelt, excessive tint, driving while license cancelled/denied, and not having proof of insurance. The vehicle was towed.

A Blu Studio cell phone was reported stolen from the 1900 block of Newcomb Avenue.

Timothy Brown, 63, Canon City, was arrested on a warrant out of Teller County and was charged with possession of a weapon by a previous offender.

Kelly King, 32, Monte Vista, was arrested on a failure to comply warrant out of Alamosa County.

Justin Wick, 27, Monte Vista, was issued a summons for shoplifting on the 100 block of Chico Camino.

 

Feb. 1

Tiffany Gann, 39, Alamosa, was summoned to court for trespassing.

David Arellano, 29, Monte Vista, was arrested for a Monte Vista Municipal Warrant without incident.

There was a report of a broken window on the 700 block of 1st Avenue.

Walk-in report of a counterfeit dollar bill at the police department. Report taken.

 

Feb. 2

Hit and run accident on the 1300 block of U.S. Hwy 160 E. Report taken.

Dana Dunsworth, 48, Monte Vista, was transported to SLVRMC by Monte Vista EMS for drunkenness.

 

Feb. 3

Vehicle observed on the 1900 block of Newcomb Avenue obstructing the roadway. Occupants identified as Carlos Rodriguez and Monica Naranjo. Suspected meth, heroin, and cocaine were located in Carlos’ possession.

 

Feb. 4

Brian Franklin, 54, Salida, was arrested for reckless driving, prohibited use of a weapon, DUI and DUI Per Se. Report filed.
