Monte Vista clean up days May 10-11

MONTE VISTA—Once again the Monte Vista City Council, in an effort to encourage residents to continue to maintain and beautify their properties, are holding clean up days. This year clean up days will be held on May 10 and 11.
The City invites all Monte Vista residents to bring their trash and debris to the Public Works Yard at 384 Ski Hi Trail for free dump services. Dumpsters will be set up to collect waste (please note prohibited items). Hours are Friday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Trash and debris including household trash, wood, construction products, limbs, metal, non-refrigerant appliances (stoves, washers, dryers) will be taken. However, any paint, refrigerators, fuel, tires, batteries, electronics or other items prohibited at the landfill will not be accepted. Please refer to the prohibited list for a full listing.
Please make note that this opportunity is only available at the Public Works Yard at 384 Ski Hi Trail, Monte Vista. This opportunity is for Monte Vista residents only.
The SLV Regional Landfill is not sponsoring this and it is NOT a free dump day at the landfill. If you go to the landfill, you will be expected to pay the current rates for the debris you bring.
If there are any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact City Hall at 852-2692 or email the public works director at [email protected]
