MONTE VISTA— The Monte Vista High School Class of 1969 reunited with 23 of the 112 graduates attending along with spouses. An evening dinner on July 27 and a noon luncheon on July 28 were held at the home of Ray and Colette Skeff. The evening event began with an informal dinner greeting one another and remembering old times.
A memorial service was conducted by ringing a bell to honor the 13 known classmates that had passed away. Each classmate stood up to share their life story. The noon luncheon gave an opportunity for everyone to continue with sharing stories and exchanges of bitter sweet goodbyes at the end of a wonderful and enjoyable weekend. Loree Harvey, Jessica Castillo and Kana Condon, teachers at the high school, conducted a tour of the new school for those wanting to participate.
