Dear Editor,
As past city councilor for 16 years and mayor for four years of the City of Monte Vista, I want to take this opportunity to publically endorse the candidacy of Dale Becker for mayor and Victor Siglala and Gary Johnson as Monte Vista city councilors for this fall’s city election.
As many of you recognize, the city is in desperate need of leadership, economic development and eradication of the drug culture.
Dale Becker will bring the necessary leadership to the city in his role as mayor since he knows what it takes to run and manage a company.
Victor Sigala is determined to stamp out the drug culture which has infected our city.
Gary Johnson has experience and a plan to begin bringing businesses and vitality back to Adams Street and First Avenue.
It will take all three as a voting majority on the council to effect the changes necessary to revitalize the community.
Therefore, I urge our electorate to mark your mail-in ballots (which you will be receiving in the latter part of October) for Dale Becker, Victor Sigala and Gary Johnson in the up-coming election.
