Dear Editor,
Monte Vista will soon have a very important election for three positions on city council.
Dale Becker is running for mayor. He has great leadership qualities as a business leader and a 4H volunteer. Dale has a great interest in the development of children and wants to see Monte Vista develop into a thriving community. He is dedicated to working hard and listening to ideas and will serve well as mayor of Monte Vista.
Victor Sigala is a dedicated community leader and an advocate for kids. He is running for city council. He has grown up in this city and is well aware of the needs within it. Victor is willing to work hard and do everything needed to make Monte Vista a safe, healthy and welcoming community.
Gary Johnson is also running for city council and has great ideas on how to improve Monte Vista and how to implement these ideas.
These three candidates are approaching this election with a positive attitude of cooperation with each other and the citizens of Monte Vista and not as a stepping stone to a higher position in the government. They agree that, though every councilor has his/her own views and positions, they must work together as one unit to solve problems and create better living conditions for the city’s residents.
I support these three candidates and ask that you also vote for them and elect a city council that will help our community prosper and have pride in itself.
