Dear Editor,
I’m pleased to write this letter, as candidate for mayor, to express my intent to help make a positive difference for our city.
The reason I’m stepping into this race is simple: We cannot expect change unless WE help make the change; we can’t make a difference unless WE do something different!  We can’t continue to see our city deteriorate and not take a stand.
I well remember a time when Monte Vista was full of people in the downtown area— a time when there was great pride just in the fact that we lived in the beautiful little city of Monte Vista.  People worked together to create a positive place to raise children and encourage and support business. Visitors felt welcome, business was thriving and citizens felt safe.
I hope to help be the spark that helps return us to a place of livelihood, security and pride.
I’m willing and ready to work my hardest to devote my energy into making Monte Vista great, again. I ask for your vote of confidence for mayor and ask for support of the other city council candidates, Victor Sigala and Gary Johnson who are also stepping up to “Monte Moement” and “Get Back to Business!”
