Hospice volunteers are needed

SAN LUIS VALLEY—Fall is a time for harvesting and a time for gathering. Are you interested in becoming a hospice volunteer?
Join the team of dedicated, talented, compassionate volunteers and staff who visit individuals and families in the home; assist with office tasks and embark on new, creative projects. Hospice del Valle serves persons throughout the six counties of the San Luis Valley, so volunteers are welcomed from anywhere in the Valley.
A Hospice Volunteer Training is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Hospice del Valle Office at 514 Main Street in Alamosa.
“Harvest—A Time for Gathering” will be an opportunity to learn more about hospice, share gifts and talents with others at the end of life and meet new people in the community. The trainings are meant to be meaningful and enjoyable with the participants often becoming fast friends.
Please call Susan Foster, volunteer coordinator, at 719-589-9019 for more information.
