The San Luis Valley has been experiencing unseasonably warmer temperatures and a lack of any significant precipitation. We began the spring with a 102 percent of normal snowpack.  The snowpack level for the Upper Rio Grande is now 41 percent of normal.  Correspondingly the Rio Grande's streamflow at the Del Norte gauge is currently 70 percent above normal.  The streamflow average over the past 10 days was 1609.8 cfs with a day to day variation of about 699.5cfs.
