The first Boutique Air flight lands in Monte Vista and comes down the runway at approximately nine on Monday morning. Boutique Air flew into and out of the Monte Vista Municipal Airport on Monday and Tuesday due to maintenance at the Alamosa airport. Passengers were taken by shuttle from Alamosa to Monte Vista. The airport will again host Boutique flights later this winter for a month when other maintenance projects are completed in Alamosa. The City of Monte Vista commemorated the first commercial flight to land in Monte Vista by hosting a reception welcoming the passengers and crewmembers from the first flight to land in Monte Vista and the first flight to leave. Picture above: City Manager Forrest Neuerburg and Community Outreach Assistant Azarel Madrigal wish the first passengers to leave Monte Vista a good flight, giving them “Flyin’ into Monte Vista” shirts.
