MONTE VISTA- The city of Monte Vista's finance director Heather Hixson has been placed on administrative leave, according to sources. This action follows her alleging unethical conduct, waste of taxpayer dollars and nepotism throughout city departments at the Thursday, Jan. 4 meeting of the city council. According to sources the administrative leave also prohibits her from speaking to the city council any further about these issues. Requests for comment from the city of Monte Vista have not been returned.
