CSVCLC social honors veterans

Visitors to and residents of the Colorado State Veterans Community Living Center (CSVCLC) chat while preparations are made for the annual Veterans Day Program in the center’s dining hall. They all sang God Bless America with Fred Hargrove and joined Jack Rudder in a Veterans Day salute, then Pam Self and Melanie Squire of the CSVCLC staff offered a history of the armed forces’ flags, followed by a video tribute to each branch of the U.S. Military and history of the red poppy, worn by may persons attending the event and distributed at the Friday parade in downtown Monte Vista. Music was provided by Hargrove as refreshments were served.
