Monte Vista EMS and fire department officials tend to two victims of a one-car collision with a tree near the corner of U.S. 285 (Gun Barrel) and Hwy. 160 downtown about 1 p.m. Friday. It appeared that the mini-van plowed over a directional sign before colliding with a tree just west of the intersection. Additional details were not immediately available.
