How to Help
• Cash donations to MV Community Fund, write fire victims in the memo, 95 1st Ave, MV 81144.
• Food donations can be made to the MV Food Bank, 245 Washington, call Jen Becker at 719-850-2709, for more information.
• Hygiene products can be taken to the Nazarene Thrift Store, 730 1st Ave., Monte Vista, call 719-852-2713.
"We understand that people want to donate blankets, clothes, toys, and housewares, but at this time we don't know each family's individual needs. Money will ensure they can buy essential items that they will need," City officials stated.
