Chase ends in arrest of Pueblo man
MONTE VISTA—On Friday, May 5 at 3:17 a.m. the Monte Vista Police Department contacted a white Honda Accord in the 600 block of First Ave for defective taillights.
The vehicle eluded police at high speeds estimated to be 100 mph and traveled west on Highway 160 towards Del Norte. The police department was assisted by Del Norte Police Department who set up a tire deflating device, which was successful. The speeds were reduced and the vehicle came to a stop west of Del Norte on Highway 160 where the male driver was taken into custody. The driver was identified as Collin Goldman 25, Pueblo, Colo.
Goldman was transported to Rio Grande County Sheriffs Office and was charged with Defective Tail Lights, Reckless Driving, Vehicular Eluding, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Weapons by Previous Offender, Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, Driving With a Revoked Drivers License and Criminal Impersonation.
