MONTE VISTA — The City of Monte Vista received Colorado Department of Transportation approval to change the direction of the one-way alley between North Adams and North Washington, effective Wednesday, March 17.

The travel direction is now changed to southbound traffic only. People will exit onto US Highway 160 and will not be able to access the alley from the highway.

The City of Monte Vista requested the change of direction in the hopes of ending the backups on Highway 160 as people try and access Don Tomas Bakery’s drive-up window.
