Carnegie Corner — March shenanigans

MONTE VISTA — Here are the “shenanigans,” that is Leprechaun talk for events and happenings at the Monte Vista Carnegie Library this month.

Let’s start with our new books — “Cinders and Sparrows” by Stefan Bachmann, “The story of Kit Carson” by Edmund Collier, “Long Range” by CJ Box (Audio), “Calder Brand” by Janet Dailey, “Russian Cage V03” by Charlaine Harris, and “Triple Chocolate Cheesecake MU” by Joanne Fluke.

March 2 was Read Across America Day, Dr. Suess’s Birthday. Hope you came in and checked out a book to celebrate!

If you need another reason to celebrate the 17this Saint Patti’s Day. Come in and check out a book or two — your Irish eyes will be smiling — or someone will. Stay tuned for more on the summer reading program.

Don’t forget about Libby. It is our online system for accessing books to read. Contact us for more information on how to get set up with this system. We have a new web page, find us at www.carnegiepubliclibraries.colorado.gov.

We have a nice periodical section, come and check it out! If you do not know, we carry the Epoch Times newspaper along with the Valley Courier and Monte Vista Journal.

We are happy to be available to serve you. Our hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 12-4 p.m. on Satruday. We are closed Sundays.
