ALAMOSA — Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley, in partnership with Ray & Colette Skeff, are offering a Skeff Classic, 1979 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, to the highest bidder. The car is one of 14 cars that Mr. Skeff has had in his collection.
BGCSLV plans to market the vehicle to classic car enthusiasts, with all proceeds going to benefit operations of Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley. This is the sixth car of the collection that the Skeffs have donated to charitable organizations to benefit the community.
Mr. Skeff said that he doesn’t know what he enjoys more, “owning them or giving them away.”
The car is red with a white leather top, matching red carpet and white leather seats. It is all original, with just 36,764 original miles. Ray Skeff bought the car new in 1979, and it has been kept in a garage since he drove it off the lot. The car comes with a 7litre V8 engine, power steering, power windows, power door locks, chrome accent molding, and so much more.
“Anyone who is a classic car enthusiast knows that Ray Skeff keeps his vehicles in mint condition. This beauty is no different,” said Chris Lopez, president & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs. “We’re thrilled to partner with Ray and Colette on this transaction and we look forward to finding a good home for this Skeff Classic. Certainly, it is a vehicle that will only gain in value for the lucky buyer.”
