MONTE VISTA— On  Tuesday, July 23, the Alzheimer’s Association will host an “Effective Communication” class, which is great for caregivers from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Monte Vista Chamber, 947 1st Avenue. The class is helpful in each stage of the disease - early, middle and late.  From 2-3:30 p.m. another class, “Understanding Alzheimer’s & Dementia” will give a great overview of the disease and the changes in the brain, stages and symptoms to expect, medications, research, and Alzheimer’s Association services.
